Have you ever thought about putting your designs and illustrations onto fabric? If you have the ideas, but you’re not sure where to start, then this self-study module is for you! Aimed at artists who have a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, this video-based class will offer you plenty of tips, structure and techniques to help you on your way!

In this class students will learn:

1. How to create square and half-drop repeats in Illustrator and Photoshop
2. How to evaluate artwork to decide if a square or halfdrop repeat is needed
3. How to prepare artwork for textile design production through color separations
4. How to label artwork for factory production, including a downloadable template

This self-study module will be video-based and upon payment, you’ll be directed to a page where you’ll be able to watch the complete collection of videos online, and it will also be available for download.

CONTENTS OF THE CLASS

• Eight video tutorials, which vary in length from 15-65 minutes. Videos can be downloaded for future use.*

Lesson Two: Creating beautiful set layouts in illustrator, including how to use the new CS6 pattern tool!
Lesson Three: Creating more professional tossed layouts in illustrator
Lesson Four: Using Illustrator to create more dynamic horizontal and diagonal stripes
Lesson Five: Developing jaw-dropping, free-flowing prints in Photoshop
Lesson Six: Creating repeats from flat files in Photoshop
Lesson Seven: Indexing for textile design production
Lesson Eight: Labeling your files for factory production
